There is no excuse and I am actually proud of the fact that I went and did something about it off my own back.
I found Hidden Hearing to be a complete fresh of fresh air. They dealt with me so quickly, so personally – and it felt like a really special service, and I felt like I was being really looked after.
Hearing has been a pretty big deal at my professional life. I used to work as a performer in TV and films and my career progressed to be getting some presenting opportunities. But it was when I was in front of the camera trying to do live TV – interviewing someone with full talk-back in I found it very difficult to hear what was going on.
People have a very strange attitude to hearing loss. They kind of regard it as stupidity and I don’t think that’s a very good attitude to it in society. However, I know how much dealing with my hearing loss and getting some effective aids has made such a huge difference to my life.
If people are worried that they are not hearing as well as they should then there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting checked out. If you need a tiny hearing aid – then get it. I mean don’t waste any time missing out on stuff – cause I think you miss out on far too much life if you can’t hear what’s going on and it’s such a shame. There is no excuse and I am actually proud of the fact that I went and did something about it off my own back.
